Miitjyu, Darjeeling's only organization for sexual minorities, is transforming the lives of sexual minorities including Meta, Dohori, Ta,Thar,Dupli, Len-den,meti, Gay, Bisexual, lesbian, Hijra, Singaru, Fulumulu, Kothi, Kotha, Strian, Maugia, Panthi and manymore in Darjeeling. Miitjyu was founded in 2005 in an effort to address the needs of sexual minorities by like minded group here in Darjeeling with the help of Manas Bangla an organization like theirs. Miitjyu is a community-based sexual health, HIV/AIDS, advocacy services for local networks of sexual minorities in Darjeeling. It provides a drop-in center (DIC), outreach work and clinical referrals for its constituents
